Kurtis Sky, with his company Sonic Sorcery, has 30 years experience in writing, recording, playing, and performing music all over the world. He has Bachelors Degree in Music Theory and Composition, and Audio Recording, as well as a Masters Degree in Psychology with applied expertise in marketing. Kurtis graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Dayton in 1990. Kurtis and his band Language House were signed to US and European indie record deals with major distribution during the 90's and toured around the Americas. Kurtis Sky was managed by top tier agencies in New York and L.A., and negotiated and inked numerous Foreign Licensing deals and Sub-Publishing arrangements.

By 1996, Kurtis Sky started up his own international publishing company with BMI and went on to later sell it and it's catalogue for significant financial success. Kurtis then opened his own studio in Austin in 2003 and began recording a wide variety of acts all over the area until it's close in 2008. He also composed music for several independent films, training films, and TV/Radio commercials through his company Sonic Sorcery Studios.

During that time, Sky worked with assorted acts to develop their writing, orchestration, branding, packaging, promotional tools, photography/video, distribution, and more, learning along the way, hundreds of tips and how to avoid dozens of "dead ends" in the Music Business.

Since 2009, Kurtis Sky re-started his publishing company (Natalia Publishing Co.), and began a multi-level corporation (Vibrational Arts, Inc.) to include his own fledgling Independent Record Label (Dreamlight Records).

At the beginning of 2011, Sky agreed to produce a few recordings for some new artists in the area, at first as a side project, but soon discovered he was able to bring together this wide variety of skills and knowledge gained over the past 30 years into a truly valuable service for the music community.

Kurtis Sky believes that "producing a record for an artist, new or established, is all about helping them focus and realize the grandest dreams, and to hear in the final product what they had always hoped they could one day express in their music."

PROJECT FEES AND TERMS:

Projects are quoted on a "PER SONG" basis and a time estimate will be given. Fees are paid 50% in advance and 50% upon completion. A basic agreement of the terms and conditions is signed by all parties.

COST TIERS (Costs quotes will include all consultation, production, recording, tracking, arranging, playing by Mr. Sky, additional composition, orchestration, overdubs, mixing, and mastering/supervision. Some limitations may apply.

* Singles Recordings (1 to 4 songs)
* EP Recording (5 to 8 Songs)
* Album Recording (9 to 15+ Songs)

Cost Tiers get progressively lower as more songs are purchased. So, recording a full album has the best discount compared to only recording one song. Also notice that the time for most set ups and working out large parts of the projects will be the same for one song or many, so doing a full album takes maximum advantage of time put into these repeat tasks.

Indeed, Sonic Sorcery may make use of outside studios as part of projects. Sonic Sorcery strongly supports the Austin area recording community, and the Tracking, Mix, and Mastering Engineers of our great city. We strive to offer a synthesis of musical, tech, recording, marketing, and business services as one overall package. ORIGINAL MUSIC FOR FILM, TV, ONLINE, THEATRICAL, EVENT, AND GAMING

In addition to original music for film, television, online, and gaming applications, Sonic Sorcery can produce custom music and sounds for theatrical and dance presentations, special events, corporate productions, training films, government agencies, and musical artists that require additional orchestral or electronic content.

Other services and materials, including format transfers, ADR, Foley, Sound Design, mastering, backup copying, score and part notation and printing, surround re-mix, and various media materials may be available upon request.

Rates are based on the length of the project, anticipated area of distribution or presentation, and projected time the material is required to be actively used. Special consideration is always given to non-profit/charity organizations.

Sonic Sorcery Studios will provide consultation on timetables based upon the client needs.
